Managing large volumes of customer and production orders can be difficult, complex, and even intimidating to some warehouse and production managers.
The Picking function of our WMS makes this more simple, you define the logic, from the simplest of picking parameters (single order, FIFO, pick path optimization) to more sophisticated functions like picking to mixed containers, pick batches/bulk, zone picking, multiple pickers per zone, etc.
All picking functions are system-directed, optimizing pick paths and usage of material handling equipment, FIFO, expiration code dates, same lot groups; interleaving tasks such as cycle counts, replenishing pick locations, item/location consolidation, and emergency order picking, cross docking, etc. While these processes appear to be fairly straightforward from an operator's perspective, a number of processes take place to present each picking requirement to the operator.
These "behind the scenes" processes simply follow the rules you configure for each warehouse, picker, item, item category, location, zone, etc |
